Bruce Lee was a famous martial artist in the film industry. Born in San Francisco in the year of Dragon, Bruce was raised in Hong Kong. After realising his interest in martial art, he started his first training in the field when he was just 13. He has gifted many hit films to the industry and here, we are going to review one of his famous movies- The Big Boss.
The plot of “The Big Boss” is straight. It is the story of a guy named Cheng Chao-an who migrated to Pak Chong from his native land China. He went there because of his extended family. After reaching there he got job in an ice factory where he was much stressed from the environment. First day, he was slapped by the foreman, but due to his promise made to her mother for not fighting, he remained calm. But, he was finding it difficult to tolerate the violence in ice factory and in the area.
Suddenly, two of the Cheng’s cousins were found to be missing but when asked from the management authority about it, they did not respond to any queries. During this, Cheng was given the designation of foreman but the truth to which Cheng and all the factory workers were unknown was that the two missing cousin’s of Cheng were murdered by the upper management because they discovered that factory was actually dealing in the drugs.
However, talking about the action, the power and Charisma that was emanated from Bruce in the movie was like pure sunlight. But, the audiences were not able to see his action in the first 45 minutes of the movie. This reduces the time for his actions but still the audiences were excited to see him in his real character. He was seen furious at the disappearance of his loved ones which was the moment when you can feel anger boiling inside him. No matter what was the number of mob attackers in fight, they were always less to fight with Cheng. However, the film became gruesome when he came to know the reason for the disappearance of his cousins and then he fought with two dozen people at once single-handedly. This fight was the most dreadful fight in the movies which Bruce’s fans enjoyed the most.
Moreover, there was also some silliness shown in the actions which you can easily detect. However, the last fight which was between Mi and Cheng was a noteworthy one-on-one match in the movie. The bounces and tosses in this fight excited the audiences and made it look imaginary. Overall the movie was really enjoying with inspiring and exciting actions of Bruce Lee.
